Who we are
History
As with most churches the Cedar Hill Baptist Church had its humble beginnings. On May 16, 1997 34 people
of shared belief met to discuss the establishment of a Southern Baptist church in Lancaster, Ohio. Holding a
meeting at a nearby park shelter they eventually moved to an elementary school and formed a church that was
named the Southside Baptist Church of Lancaster, Ohio. On March 7th, 1998 several members met to look at
the Church of God building on Cedar Hill Road which was for sale. After much prayer and asking for God to
show them the way, money was obtained to purchase the building. So in April 2003 the Cedar Hill Baptist
Church - SBC was established to glorify God.
